The President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu has continued to show courage in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic that has continued to decimate humanity globally.
In his address to the nation, courage on his face was vividly seen.
His trust in God has continued in the midst of Covid-19 as he guided the nation to meditate on Jeremiah 29 vs 11 and demonstrated to all Zambians that they must believe in God s Intervention in the fight against Covid-19.
I wish to emphasise that courage is key to the fight against Covid-19 and by not walking in fear, the President has shown that for us Zambians, the Lord shall fight this battle for us.
President Lungu has also demonstrated leadership and his value for education by making sure that examination classes both in primary and secondary schools are re-opened.
Noticing the manner Covid-19 has impacted negatively on the world economies, the President showed courageous leadership by opening up the tourism sector in an effort to boost the Zambian economy. This will see many Zambians get back to work in the tourism sector, one of the effective drivers of national development.
It is worth noting that amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the President has continued to allow the Church to continue fellowshipping and worshipping God. However, he placed emphasis on adhering to health guidelines and certification.
He has continued to show his love and faith in God.
As battle Cry for Zambia, we continue praying for you, President Dr Lungu and your entire cabinet for God’s strength, guidance and wisdom as you continue to lead this great nation into prosperity and unity.
We indeed stand on the scripture you gave us during your speech quoted from Jeremiah 29 vs 11. Indeed the hand of God is upon Zambia and He has good plans to propel a great future for the nation.
Let every citizen take responsibility by social distancing, hand washing, senitizing and wearing masks. Let us all stand together as a nation in prayer, looking unto God to fight for us in the midst of the Covid- 19. Let His presence shine upon Zambia .
