The Drug Enforcement Commission in Chililabombwe, Copperbelt Province has arrested two (2) people for trafficking in over 400 grams of cocaine, contrary to Cap 96 of the Laws of Zambia.
Kasenga Musenge, 23, a female mobile money sales agent of Ndeke Area in Kitwe has been arrested and jointly charged with Watson Muntali, 36, of House No. 1819 John Howard, Lusaka for trafficking in 417 grams of Cocaine.
Under similar circumstances, the Commission has also arrested Benson Bwali, 34, a Driver of Chipata Compound in Lusaka for trafficking in 110 sachets of Heroin weighing 6.36 grams.
Meanwhile the Commission in Eastern Province has arrested 2 persons for unlawful cultivation and trafficking of cannabis weighing over 660 kilograms.
The duo are Tyson Mbewe, 28 of Njanji Village who is jointly charged with Gift Mbewe, 22, of the same abode for unlawful cultivation of fresh cannabis plants weighing 650 kilograms and for trafficking in loose cannabis weighing 17.8 kilograms.
All the suspects are in police custody and will appear in court soon.
