With almost a year before the 2021 General Elections, Solwezi East Constituency in North-western Province has achieved 90 percent of the infrastructure development agenda, with classroom blocks in various schools and health post being rehabilitated and constructed in the constituency.
And residents of Mushindamo District in Solwezi East Constituency are happy with the developmental projects that have been scored in the last four years.
They are pleased that within that period, CDF has been used prudently in constructing and rehabilitating schools and health institutions in the constituency, situated in the North Western part of Zambia.
The residents, however, want Government to increase the CDF allocation to parliamentarians to allow them complete their developmental projects.
According to a report on the utilisation of CDF in Mushindamo District made available to the media, Law-maker Kintu, has continued working on various developmental projects such as the construction and rehabilitation of classroom blocks at various schools in Mushindamo district most of whom have reached completion point.

He said Mr Kintu has worked round the clock to ensure that funds are placed on intended projects to the satisfaction of his electorates.
” I am happy that classroom blocks and staff houses have been constructed at school, Mujimanzovu Primary School which is my former school” he said, ” Kudos to the MP and his team. They deserve another five year mandate.”
And Gillian Jimwala, another resident of Mushindamo District in Kalilele Ward said the area has attained massive development since Mr Kintu took over as area Member of Parliament because of his ability to lobby the Central Government.
She said unlike other parliamentarians who turn their backs on the electorates once voted into office, Mr Kintu has remained focused in improving the livelihood of the people that put him in office.
She, however, pleaded with government to improve CDF allocation to Members of Parliament.
According to the report, Solwezi East Constituency received K700, 000, K500, 000, in 2017 and 2018 respectively while between 2018 and 2019 K1, 100, 000 was received.
