Zambia coach Patrice Beaumelle says he is happy with Kampamba Chintu input as assistant  coach recently at the Cecafa Cup.

The defender was retired from international duty following his appointment as Kabwe Warriors coach in October.
“My aim to appoint Chintu was to give him an opportunity to get experience to come with me  because we know each other and he wants to learn and he did a good job, ” Beaumelle said.
“I spoke to the president Kalusha Bwalya that I wanted another assistant for this tournament and he asked me who you want I said  I would like Chintu and I would like to give him an opportunity,” the Frenchman said.
“I also spoke with the technical director Honour Janza and asked him if Chintu was doing well during the coaching course he told he was one of the best students.”
Beaumelle said nothing long term has been discussed yet over Chintu’s possible role on the bench until he had met FAZ over a substantive role because he was still interim Zambia head coach.
