African Parliamentarian Network Against Corruption (APNAC) Chairperson Cornelius Mweetwa has charged that the ruling Patriotic Front is slowly proving to be a party that entertains illegal activities.
Mr Mweetwa says any form of abuse of public funds is viewed his organisation as a form of corruption.
He says the budgetary allocation of 1.5 billion kwacha to the office of the First Lady has a serious undermining effect on the rule of law and good governance.
Mr. Mweetwa who is also Choma central Member of Parliament says the PF government should not use the arrogance of numbers in Parliament to promote illegality and irregularity.
Speaking to QFM News, Mr. Mweetwa says Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda should have considered the legality status of the First Lady’s office before proposing the allocation to Parliament.
