Christian democratic party president Dan Pule says his party is praying to God to give president Micheal Sata good health.And Pule said his party will win 2016 general elections and wants to make a difference by reviving the country’s collapsing economy.
During a media briefing at Luangwa House yesterday Pule,who is currently in Eastern Province to establish party structures,said he wished president Sata good health.
He said contrary to other opposition political party leaders who had continued to speculate on the head of state’s health,the CDP which believed in christian values and philosophy,wished president Sata well.
“We are wishing president Sata good health to live up to 2016.Let him be okay until the end of his term of office.As you know the president Sata’s health has not been okay,though he says that he his fine and his working.We pray to God that he lives upto 2016.But if he has strength to stay,we are telling him that we are replacing him in 2016”,pule said.
He said the countries economy was dwindling resulting in high cost of living and rising cost of business. Mealie-meal prices are high and we predict that it will be higher than this if the government is not doing anything to stop it.Depreciation of kwacha is also a serious concern.Fuel is the major component of the economy and it must not be increase anyhow.
He said it is possible for him to deliver because he served as finance deputy minister in Fredrick Chiluba administration and was an accountant by profession who understood how to run the economy.
