The African Union Advisory board on corruption is impressed with the PF government’s commitment towards uprooting corruption in the country.
Board member Julie Onum-Nwariaku has told QFM News in an interview that from the meeting that she has had so far with the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Secretary to the Cabinet, it is evident that the PF government has political will to fight graft.
Mrs. Onum-Nwariaku says the commitment shown by the government in fighting corruption should be supplemented by other stakeholders if the fight is to be won.
She adds that the Zambians should also begin to exhibit high levels of integrity and ensure that they avoid any form of corruption.
Mrs. Onum-Nwariaku is currently in Zambia on a sensitization tour on the adopted AU convention on preventing and combating corruption among the AU member states which was adopted a few years ago.
Member states will later be expected to ratify and domesticate the Convention in an effort to successfully fight corruption.
