CHIPOLOPOLO coach Patrice Beaumelle has advised winger Fwayo Tembo to work on his fitness and prove that he is still a force to reckon with.
And Beaumelle has further urged all the Zambian players that have recently signed for various clubs to claim first choice selection.
Tembo has just signed a two-year deal with Turkish side FC Kanyo.
In an interview, Beaumelle advised Fwayo to stick with the Turkish club and fight for game time.
“My message to him is that he should try and stay with this club, train hard and play competitive football. He should concentrate on performing well with his club and later I am sure he will bring a lot of skill and experience to the national team. He should prove to everyone that Fwayo is still Fwayo.
We will be following his progress and hopefully call him to the national team. Otherwise, I want to congratulate him on his move; I am very happy when I see the boys signing for good sides as it’s something good for the Chipolopolo,” said Beaumelle.
And Beaumelle advised players who have recently signed for various clubs abroad to make sure that they are playing regularly.
“My message is very clear; when you go out there make sure you have a place in the team and play. Make sure that you are playing competitive football.”
There has been an exodus of Zambian players joining various leagues in the recent past.
