The Zambian Super league has been ranked 11th strongest in Africa by the International Federation of Football History and statistics.
The Football Association Zambia (FAZ) administered league received an overall world ranking of 78th and ranks ahead of the South African PSL and the Congolese leagues which a host of Zambian players ply their trade in. The two leagues rank 12th and 14th in Africa respectively.
The top African league is the Sudanese league which features former Zesco United striker Jackson Mwanza plays in.
The Chinese league in which three Zambian players play in is ranked 70th in the world.
