A 50-YEAR-OLD truck driver from Botswana has allegedly hanged himself at Senkobo area in Zimba district.
District commissioner Elizabeth Kalaluka, who identified the deceased as William Nonhumanma, said yesterday that the incident might have occurred on Thursday.
Kalaluka said Nonhumanma was found hanging from a tree in the bush while his truck, registration number B193 ATA, belonging to Ndoes Transport Company in Botswana, was parked nearby on the Lusaka-Livingstone road.
She said police picked up Nonhumanma’s body in the evening of the same day but reasons for the ‘suicide’ remain unknown.
Kalaluka said the body was in the district hospital mortuary awaiting relatives.
