FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya has denied interference in national team selection in a heated exchange on twitter.
Two twitter users Mumbi Chileshe and Emmanuel Zulu accused Kalusha of instructing coaches to pick and play certain players.
Kafue Celtics on loan at Nchanga Rangers striker Patson Daka was cited.
The Under-17 captain has turned out for the Under-17, 20, 23 and Chipolopolo in a space of six months.
Zulu alleged that he had a verbatim of Kalusha issuing instructions to the technical bench at Sherbourne (supposedly for last Saturday’s tame 0-0 draw against Guinea)
However, Kalusha insisted that coaches make independent decisions and FAZ has never interfered in player selection.
The 1988 Africa’s finest expressed shock that every time Zambia lost or drew he was accused of something.
He argued that in his playing days chairmen of clubs or FAZ were not known to be blamed for team failure.
Kalusha assured that FAZ was only interested in recording good results and not matters of player selection.
