Dear Editor,
Education is a productive and beneficial factor in a person’s life.So it is everyone’s right to get…But i still wonder why our community with the population of more than 30,000 people is still surving on one secondary school. With about 3 basic schools in Chambishi,Every year alot of students graduate from basic school and pass going to grade 10 but a few enters regardless of their results.Due to this senario, alot of young people ends up staying home and quit school due to shortage of space. Lucky students from Elite families make it going to neighboring schools in Chingola or Kitwe everyday. But with the high number of Road traffic accident we have in our country, Do we have to be sacrificing our youths lives to be on the Road everyday? every ones life is important so is Education.
When the PF government was coming in power the menifesto was so clear on Education but up to date Education is not devided well in our country. If the government thinks building a new secondary school will be expensive, why not just turn one of the three basic schools into a secondary school? this will give chance to all the people who pass grade nine (9) to enter high school at the same time to create more jobs to the local high school trained teacher’s who are jobless.Education should be equal on both MINORITIES and ELITE.
