The young self styled prophet who is now popularly known as the Genesis Prophet by his followers at Chrisma ministries international shocked Francis town residents in Botswana in August this year when he made a 55 year old blind man see again, the man claimed to have been blind for over 22 years .

Prophet Ian Genesis is the same flamboyant prophet who made a pregnant woman’s pregnancy grow physically from 1 month to 6 months at a prophetic ceremony held in chilenje last year ,

Sources within his church have told Tumfweko that the “Man of God ” will yet again visit Francis town in Botswana for another prophetic overnight service on the 30th of December, among other things people have been promised by this Prophet is miracle money as everyone who needs financial break through has been told to go with big bags in which the miracle money would be placed in .

These actions and claims have raised a lot of eyebrows and many have labeled him as a magician and not a man of God as he claims .

‘There Is No Racism At Horse Shoe Restaurant In Lusaka,’ Minister Orders The Arrest Of Mika Mwambazi

The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has cleared Horse Shoe Restaurant management in Lusaka over allegations of racial abuse.

Labour Minister Joyce Nonde Simukoko who visited the restaurant this morning where she held separate meetings with workers and management says her ministry’s investigations into allegations of racial abuse by management at the restaurant have proved to be untrue.

Ms Simukoko says the workers talked to by officers from her ministry refuted claims that management has been racially abusing them.

She states that the workers only raised normal challenges that workers face such as transport and over time allowances among other challenges.

Ms Simukoko reaffirmed Government’s commitment to protecting workers from exploitation.

Meanwhile, Ms Simukoko has called on the Police to arrest the people behind the reports that the owner of Horse Shoe Restaurant has been abusing workers and black customers.

She says this is tantamount to alarming the nation as racism is a bad thing not only at a work place but also at national level.
In November Mwambazi reportedly attempted to make a reservation for her birthday gig at the Horse Shoe in Lusaka’s Rhodespark area.

But she was allegedly met with a horrific scene in which a black Zambian employee was being hurled with insults and racist comments by the place’s owners who are believed to be of Greek origin.

Mwambazi, disgusted by the ordeal later took them on but was instead called “a foolish black woman” by Nikki Ioannou believed to be part of the proprietors.

She was also told to “shut the f***** up” as she tried to defend the miserable and tormented Zambian worker who referred to at some point as a “good for nothing dog”

Kamanga Honours Sikazwe

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has honoured FIFA referee Jan Sikazwe with the meritorious award.
This is in recognition of the Kapiri Mposhi educationalist’s superb handling of the FIFA Club World Cup final that saw Real Madrid beat Kashima Antlers 4-2 after extra-time with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo netting a hat-trick.
While there are arguments that Sikazwe should have sent off Sergio Ramos at the death after a clumsy challenge, it was not lost on the FAZ president that the handling of the match had put Zambia on the map.
“We want to inculcate a culture of excellence in performance. Mr Jan Sikazwe’s performance coming at the close of the year something special. We are closing the year on a high especially as you might be aware our Under-20 national team was also crowned COSAFA Champions recently,” Kamanga said at the MTN/FAZ awards at Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka last night.
And Sikazwe described his achievement as a “dream come true.”
“It’s something special in my life. I don’t support any team whether Europe or anywhere because it has been my dream to handle such matches,” he said.
And Sikazwe says his next target is to officiate at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Nonde Is Wrong To Order Arrest Of a Citizen Over HorseShoe Racism Allegations – YALI

$

YOUNG African Leaders Initiative president Andrew Ntewewe says it is unacceptable for labour minister Joyce Nonde to direct police to arrest Lusaka resident Mika Mwambazi over her allegations of racism against HorseShoe restaurant management.
Nonde yesterday told journalists after meeting HorseShoe management that police should find and arrest Mwambazi for spreading falsehoods on alleged racism that HorseShoe management is said to be practising against employees.
She said it was said that Mwambazi had wanted to see chaos caused against HorseShoe management because of her personal matters.
”Racism reports are not true and the workers here are very shocked that someone is peddling such lies against this institution. The police must find the person who started peddling these lies, the police must do their job, let her bring her evidence,” said Simukoko.
“She (Mwambazi) has to be arrested, police know her, she is an alarmist.”
But Ntewewe said Nonde, as minister, should have found other ways of resolving the problem created by social media reports against the HorseShoe than resorting to threatening a citizen.
“It is sad that the minister can rush to issue such orders without paying a listening ear to the concerns being raised. Instead of paying attention to what the lady was saying, she gives orders to the police to arrest her,” said Ntewewe. “It is sad that the minister thinks she has powers and authority to order the police to arrest Zambians. That is completely unacceptable and it is out of her jurisdiction.”
Meanwhile, acting labour commissioner Kadija Sakala stopped journalists that went to cover the minister’s briefing from interviewing or speaking to any of the workers, who were led outside the restaurant and asked to remain there.
”No one will talk to the employees, no talking to the employees, this matter has been in public domain for a long time and we want to put an end to this chapter. So we shall restrict everything to the minister’s statement,” said Sakala.
However, some workers complained that their managers usually called them “rotten tomatoes”, “African monkeys” and “many other bad names”.
Another worker narrated how police officers that were sent to investigate a posting by Mwambazi’s racist experience were deceived by the managers, who instead surrendered a wrong person for questioning.
“On the issue of the one who was insulted on the day that Mika Mwambazi came to book for her birthday, there is a guy by the name of Noah, who was being insulted by one of the managers. After the incident, as you may know Mika posted something (on social media) which went viral. Then some policemen came, they wanted to talk to Noah, but the managers opted to show them someone else, deliberately, instead of Noah. They showed them the garden boy but after talking to him, they realised it was not him that had been insulted,” said the worker. “So the police came back and demanded for Noah. When Noah reported for work, the managers summoned him. We don’t know what happened to him but when he came out of their office, he told the officers that no one insulted him. We were shocked because Noah almost cried after the manager insulted him and to see him change his story, that really shocked us.”
And another employee said she witnessed a female manager splash a cocktail drink into the face of a female worker, who prepared it for a customer.
Others said a hostile atmosphere was forcing employees to leave.
When reached for a comment, an unidentified female manager answered: “Good morning, how are you? No manager is available, unfortunately, thank you.”

Suspend Namuswa For Shooting UPND Cadre, Demands Mulongoti

MIKE Mulongoti has called on the police command to immediately suspend assistant commissioner Bothwell Namuswa for shooting a defenceless UPND cadre to pave way for investigations.
Mulongoti, president of the People’s Party, said it was unfortunate that Namuswa, a senior police officer, could disregard the rules of engagement and shoot at defenseless citizens.
He said the police command should take charge and allow the law to take its course on Namuswa.
“Nobody is above the law. The Police are allowed to use force but it must be minimum force. When you use live bullets, that is maximum force because the whole idea is to make the people or the person you are confronting unable to fight by being disabled,” Mulongoti said.
“The police are intended not to kill but simply retrain but when you use maximum force like that, it becomes dangerous. I don’t think a man who is not armed can take your life. You are the one, as a police officer, who is armed and can take the life of that somebody. It was unfortunate that such a thing happened. We do however hope that the law can take its course.”
He said Namuswa should not be left to walk scot free.
“The law should take its course, the normal procedure is that he (Namuswa) is suspended to pave way for investigation. First thing, there much be an investigation and that will guide on what to do next, whether to prosecute or not,” Mulongoti said.
“He must also be been given an opportunity to be heard as well. Mind you, the law doesn’t discriminate whether you are a policeman or private person. To shoot a person, the first thing is that you are suspect because you have committed a crime.”
He challenged the police command to do the right thing and not allow citizens to insinuate that the police were a danger to society.
“Until you can prove yourself innocent, you remain a suspect. We want the police command to take charge and make sure they are seen to do what’s right,” demanded Mulongoti.
“Mind you, if they don’t handle the matter correctly, what do you think will be going through the mind of the public? That now police have become a danger. The police must serve the interests of all of us so they must not make us fear to see them.”

Iam Much Better, Injured Mbesuma

SENIOR Chipolopolo striker Collins Mbesuma has urged Zambians to support the Under-20 national team as they are the future of the country’s football.
And Mbesuma says he is feeling “much better now” but will be out of action for four weeks at his Highlands Park FC club nursing a knee injury.
The junior Chipolopolo won the regional competition last week in scintillating fashion winning all games and scoring 14 goals, conceding only three including the goals in the final in which they beat the hosts South Africa last Friday.
In an interview after he visited the junior Chipolopolo and watching them reach the final of the COSAFA junior tournament in South Africa last week, Mbesuma said the young lads needed the support of every Zambian going forward.
“Of course I just went to congratulate them for reaching the final and wished them the best of luck. Let’s give them support, they are the future,” Mbesuma said.
He revealed that he had a knee problem resulting from a crude tackle he suffered on national duty against Cameroon in a World Cup qualifier match in October that led to his substitution in that particular match.
The burly striker has missed his club’s last two league games with medics giving him a four-week recuperation period before returning to action.
“Yes I am injured, remember in Cameroon, I got my knee (injury) from there but I am much better now, I have been given four weeks. My last game was the [Orlando] Pirates games, I have not played the last two games,” said Mbesuma.

Opinion: Joyce Nonde Is A Disgraced Ex-Unionist; Must Resign!

$

Labour Minister Joyce Nonde finds herself on top of something of a shame list by the public. Nonde, a long time unionist and hard-nosed negotiator for workers in her days under the Federation of Free Trade Unions where she got the licence to be recognized even by politicians, has shockingly picked up a cause for an alleged abusive employer – the Horse Shoe Restaurant.

The Labour Minister has incensed members of the public stirring a social media storm for her remarks backing the restaurateurs over the racially abused workers. Nonde gave the owners of the Horse Shoe the all clear shockingly calling for the arrest of a member of the public identified as Mika Mwambazi who blew the whistle on the owners of the plush restaurant sitting on the fringes of the Lusaka Showgrounds.

The general consensus is that Nonde may have been under a spell or maybe the Horse Shoe calculated hospitality may have overwhelmed her. How else does anyone explain that the once fearsome trade unionist came out singing praises for the abusive restaurateurs?

Apparently she left the stream of journalists that went to cover her well publicized stunt reeling with disbelief as she mouthed praises for the Horse Shoe. Even the owners may not have believed their luck as she trumpeted for them. So out of order was she that she prohibited journalists from talking to anyone apart from herself. Nonde appealed to the journalist to trust her judgment and her sentiments confirmed exactly why no one should trust her judgment on the matter.

Would it not shock anyone when one finds a police officer singing praises for a criminal? Or a judge singing praises for an accused person or a convicted criminal if by any stretch one pushes the analogy a little too far?

So much for protecting whistle blowers that a government minister can call for the arrest of Mika a public person for alerting the very government that should protect her to an alleged racist culture at the Horse Shoe and thankfully the public have picked it up with a social media campaign dubbed, “I stand with Mika”.

Rather than crucify Mika, Nonde should take a serious introspection on herself and find the person in her that the public has always known. Otherwise we too stand with Mika! We therefore call on President Edgar Lungu to review the performance of Nonde.

As a lawyer, President Lungu should know that the labour laws in our country favour employers much more than they would to employees. And to have a disgraced minister like Nonde siding with the powerful at the expense of protecting poorly remunerated workers whose bonus is abusive language from those Greek crooks is a clear case of failure.

President Lungu must help Nonde rediscover her former self by re-assigning her to a role that will ensure she speaks for the workers not some fools masquerading as investors. We are embarrassed that Nonde is a Minister of Labour, may be its a different kind of labour we are talking about. She is certainly in a wrong place and must save her face by resigning. If not she must be fired!

Signs Of A Cheating Wife

By Emmanuel Mukula

When you notice that something about your wife’s recent behavior seems “off” and your instincts are telling you that there might be another man in her life, chances are that your suspicions are correct .Let us face, wives now cheat just as much as their husbands do. In this article, I want us to look at a few common red flags that could be indicative of a cheating wife.

If she tells you she is going somewhere and you suspect she is heading out to meet another someone she should not, offer to go with her. If she “changes her mind” and decides not to go, it could be a sign that she was trying to get out alone to go spend time with someone else.

When she all of a sudden starts spending more time at work and she was never much of a workaholic before, it could indicate that she’s spending those extra hours outside of the office after .If a trip to the bank, grocery store, or hair salon takes twice as long as it used to, she might be doing something other than what she claims to be doing.

Another sign could be her suddenly distancing herself from you or becomes inexplicably more affectionate toward you, then there is a problem. A cheating wife can also pay more attention to you and go an extra mile as far as sex is concerned to ease her guilty conscience and as a way of alleviating the shame she has for cheating on you.

If your wife suddenly spends more time talking or texting, though, or if she hangs up as soon as you enter the room or puts a password on her phone and does the R and D (Read and delete) with her texts, she’s talking and possibly meeting with someone new in her life whom she does not want you to know about.

You have reasons to get concerned when your wife suddenly acts as though nothing you do is right in her eyes, the you have faithfulness problems in your relationship. Evasive behavior is also a bad sign and as the general rule says, if your wife suddenly begins sharing fewer details about her day and her thoughts, she might be hiding something or getting the emotional support she needs from another man that will soon offer a shoulder before she jumps into bed with him.

The longer a couple stays married, the more both spouses tend to let themselves go. If your wife suddenly dyes her hair and does some nails she never does and polishes herself up and starts to smell extra good, she might be trying to make herself look good for someone new. Women mostly try to look their bests at the start of a new relationship, so if your wife is suddenly making more effort in terms of her appearance, then there might be a new forbidden relationship in her life.

Note, that your wife could by some chance be doing this for your benefit. If she senses a lack of chemistry between the two of you and wants to remedy the problem, she might try to make herself seem more appealing to you but, some do it for reasons of cheating.

What is she bringing home in her shopping bags? If she buys new clothes in excess, she might be trying to show them off to someone especially if those clothes are revealing or if she buys more lingerie. She is buying sexy lingerie but not wearing them in your bedroom, or if she is buying attractive clothes but never wearing them in front of you then she did not buy them for you.

Lastly, let me say that I may just have described the character of your wife. Well, I am not saying she is cheating but, there is a good chance that she is .Take your time and observe this behavior before you judge her wrongly.

PF Bwana Mkubwa member of parliament Jonas Chanda says the massive load-shedding by Zesco is de-campaigning President Edgar Lungu and the ruling party.
In a statement, Chanda stated that Zesco had failed the Zambian people.
“I wish to condemn Zesco’s incompetence in the strongest terms possible. Their pathetic services to the people are totally unacceptable and are tantamount to decampaigning the Patriotic Front government and President Lungu himself,” Chanda stated.
“How can people stay four days without power in Ndeke township, especially Malasha area and other parts of Ndeke? As a result, people have lost plenty of food items and other perishable goods which have gone bad and to waste in their fridges.”
He stated that it had become very difficult for people in places like Ndola to sustain their livelihoods with the massive load-shedding.
Chanda stated that Zesco was treating Zambians in a cruel manner.
”People owning small businesses on which their livelihoods depend like barbershops, hair salons and welding shops have had their businesses badly affected as they have made huge losses,” stated Chanda.
“Government should urgently carry out an institutional audit of Zesco and other poorly performing parastatals and change their management.”

Lusaka Mealie Meal Prices Rise By K5 In a Month

RETAIL prices of mealie-meal in Lusaka have jumped by an average K5.00 in some outlets in the last one month.
The traders have since warned that the trend would continue in 2017.
Following an increase in fuel prices in October which led to an increased cost of doing business, the price of mealie-meal has steadily been on the rise.
A check at Lusaka’s major retail outlets revealed that prices of the essential commodity had jumped by an average K5 for a 25Kg bag of breakfast.
A 25Kg breakfast bag of Simba No. 1 was found selling at K93 at Carib Meat & Meat Products in Northmead while National Milling’s brand in Shoprite has skyrocketed to K96.49.
The Superior Milling brand has also recorded significant price increases, with a 25Kg breakfast bag pegged at K89.50 in Spar Arcades, while the same brand was found selling for around K91 in Shoprite.
In Kabwata market, the Pembe brand was found selling at K95 for a 25Kg breakfast bag respectively, up from K90.
Although prices of the commodity for a 25Kg bag of Star in Chelstone Market remained stagnant at K90 since March, prices of Simba’s No. 1 brand had jumped to K95 per 25Kg bag, up from K90 recorded in just one week of trading.
Traders talked to revealed that prices had substantially increased at the depots, negatively impacting order numbers.
“Last week, order price per bag was K79.50 so they [at the depots] have increased [by] K5.50. Now, they are ordering at K85. So, instead of ordering 20 bags, I will order maybe 15 or 10. They have gone down and that is the challenge that we face,” Felix Kaonga said in an interview.
He explained that the higher prices charged on the commodity had also hurt their profitability.
“These increases in mealie-meal prices have caused customers to shun us; they have stopped buying from us. Sales have gone down, plus the competition, it is burning us,” said Kaonga.
“This festive season we were planning to reduce prices but now as it stands, we can’t do that because the loss will be worse.”
According to the recent Central Statistical Office (CSO) data, mealie-meal prices have sharply increased during the second half of 2016, particularly in the final quarter of the year, with prices now averaging K92.95 for a 25Kg breakfast bag, while roller meal is around K75.38, up from K79.63 and K63.06 respectively, this time last year.

Mwila: There Will Be No Elections In PF

PF national publicity secretary Frank Bwalya says there will be no elections in PF.
Bwalya, who was speaking on behalf of secretary general Davis Mwila, said those that called for elections in the party were mistaken because the mandate of those in office was up to 2019.
Kelvin Bwalya Fube last week said the PF needed elections from top to bottom because the mandate of the current central committee had expired.
Following his statement, the party, through chairperson for elections Jean Kapata, dropped KBF from his position as deputy chairperson for elections.
KBF has however said he would not change his position that the PF needs elections from top to bottom and that his view was supported by Kapata.
Speaking after a closed-door meeting with Eastern Province PF executive committee on Tuesday, Bwalya said there would be no elections in the ruling party.
“Those calling for elections from the top to the bottom are wrong and mistaken because the mandate for those in office is three years up to 2019, unless the Central Committee decides to have elections but they always do things within PF constitution,” Bwalya said.
He said the party was aware of those that called for elections for Eastern Province because they did not like Lubusha, the current chairperson.
Bwalya said the PF leadership would not pretend that there were no members agitating for elections.
He, however, said there would be no cracks in PF following the decision not to hold elections as the party would not listen to minority wishes.
Bwalya said every organisation had people who were aggrieved.
He said there were no serious reasons to remove Lubusha from his position because he was a hard working leader.
Bwalya said it was true that there had been some complaints from Eastern Province but it was just politics.
The PF faction advocating for elections as the only solution to the leadership wrangles in Eastern Province fought with Lubusha’s group when Mwila arrived at Eastern Comfort Lodge for a meeting.

Increase Our Salaries or Face Unrest In 2017, Civil Servants Warn Govt

$

THE Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union has warned the government to prepare itself for unrest among civil servants next year should it fail to increase their salaries.
But the government says it will not hesitate to dismiss any civil servant who will be found wanting through attempts of industrial unrest in 2017.
The PF government has announced austerity measures in its 2017 budget as it battles to bring the country’s economy back on track.
Among the measures being implemented include cuts in subsidies and reduced expenditure in a number of sectors, as well as a wage freeze on civil servants.
However, the civil servants have contended that the rising cost living requires an adjustment in their salaries as they had sacrificed the past two years of another wage freeze.
According to the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection, a family of five in Lusaka now needs not less K5,000 per month to survive.
Speaking in Ndola, Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union (CSAWUZ) Copperbelt Province chairman Terry Muyenga warned that the PF government was sitting on a time bomb by ignoring calls for salary increments for civil servants.
He said the members of the CSAWUZ were ready to fight for their dues.
“We are very demotivated to work. This government is sitting on a time bomb. Come January 30, if this government does not increase our salaries, we will rise against them, there will be unrest. The cost of living is unbearable to our members,” Muyenga warned.” We will fight for what is due to us. Government should be concerned about us. Government should be more concerned about the issues that are demotivating our members. Let them first do an audit of what is demotivating our members before they fire us.”
He said the government should not expect anything good from the civil servants if they were not looked after well.
“It is unfortunate that when civil servants ask for improved services, government comes with empty hands. We ask for something and they come empty handed! If government will be concerned and attend to our welfare positively, we will give them a good deal of work. Let what the government wants correlate with our demands,” Muyenga said.
He also said the government was allowing splinter unions to weaken the labour movement.
“Government allowing splinter unions is a ploy to disadvantage us and weaken the unions. Government should not allow splinter unions because it is not working for them and the workers. How can government offer us zero per cent increment, looking at the high cost of living? This action is politically motivated to weaken our bargaining power. There is no way a juvenile union comes and signs a zero per cent increment,” Muyenga said in reference to the Zambia Union of Government Workers who signed an agreement with the government that there would be no salary increment for civil servants next year.
”Government is not concerned about our allowances. The issue of no money is not received well by us. Others are going away with money, where is it coming from? So that song of no money for public workers is nothing. There should be no language of no money, we want equality.”
But acting Copperbelt permanent secretary Elias Kamanga, in a speech read for him by Ndola Teaching Hospital senior medical officer Alex Makupe, said public workers should control themselves.
“Take initiative to control yourselves to avoid being casualties of government wrath. Government does not want to dismiss people as this is costly but when you misbehave, it will be yourselves to blame and you would have dismissed yourself. Ensure that rightful procedure is followed in handling your problems and secure amicable solutions,” said Kamanga through Makupe.
