Zimbabwean Big Brother Africa representative Pokello Nare survived eviction from Africa’s most popular show on Sunday but was again nominated for potential eviction Monday morning.
To escape the chop on Sunday, Pokello received eight country votes which were higher than all the votes received by the other housemates who were also up for eviction.
Zimbabwean socialite’s joy however proved short-lived because barely 24 hours later five of her fellow housemates nominated her for possible eviction. For the second week in a row, Pokello’s stay in the Big Brother House is looking rather tenuous. She was nominated again by Selly, Sulu, Oneal, Elikem and Fatima.
However, Pokello was saved by the Head of House Bassey who chose to replace her with Oneal. Elikem’s nomination of Pokello was a bolt from the blue.
The return of Elikem’s “love” Fatima to the Ruby House appears to have forced Elikem to ditch the Zimbabwean lass. The eviction of Angolans Biguesas and Neyll means that the former Portuguese colony and Uganda no longer have representation on the reality show.
Meanwhile, South Africans have accused Big Brother of favouring Pokello. Some have even gone to the extent of claiming that Pokello is being favoured because they liked her sex tape.
A Facebook page supporting evicted South African housemate Koketso was awash with comments from South Africans alleging Big Brother’s bias towards Zimbabweans.
One Rofhie Annez-Geraldine Rhymes says on the page: “Where does the best muthi come from? Mugabe! I am a voter but this I will never vote.
“Biggie is just wasting our moola because Pokello and Hakeem have won already.
“It means Biggie watched the porn-star’s sex tape and he likes it.”
Another going by the name Diana Masetsosa chipped in: “I am no longer wasting my money on this show. South Africa’s voice is not considered here so what?
“I hope next year it is hosted somewhere else not here! Period!”Daily news
