DR Kenneth Kaunda who has been admitted at the Lusaka Trust Hospital is said to be recovering very well.
In an interview, Dr Kaunda’s daughter, Cheswa, said the 89-year-old statesman was doing well.
“He is on the mend and he is doing well. He is much much better from the time he was brought in on Thursday evening. There is nothing specific he is suffering from,” Cheswa said.
She, however, referred further queries to health minister Dr Joseph Kasonde, who she said had been visiting the first Republican president from the time he was admitted.
But when contacted, Dr Kasonde refused to give information on Dr Kaunda’s status via telephone saying he was in Katuba Constituency, drumming up support for PF candidate Moses Chilando ahead of Tuesday’s parliamentary by-election.
