Regular Marijuana Users Have More Sex, Study Says

NEW YORK (Reuters): The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sponsored survey conducted by the Stanford University School of Medicine researchers unveiled the link between marijuana and the frequency of sexual intercourse. The study was published last week on Friday in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Researchers in California reached their conclusions after a retrospective analysis of data on 50,000 Americans ages 25 to 45, compiled from 2002 to 2015 by the National Survey of Family Growth.

Respondents were asked how many times they have had heterosexual intercourse in the past four weeks and how frequently they have smoked marijuana over the past 12 months, Stanford researchers said in a press release.

Women who were daily pot users had sex an average of 7.1 times during the previous four weeks, compared with 6.0 times reported by those who denied using marijuana in the past year. For men, daily users reported 6.9 times compared with 5.6 for non-users.

“In other words, pot users are having about 20 percent more sex than pot abstainers,” said the study’s senior author, Dr. Michael Eisenberg, assistant professor of urology at Stanford.

Marijuana rolling..
Given that the average couple has sex about once a week, Eisenberg said, the bottom line for partaking in a bong or blunt could add up to 20 more instances of sexual intercourse each year.

“I think if you asked a man or a woman, 20 more times to have sex over a year, that would seem like a lot,” Eisenberg said.

It used to be thought that couples mostly smoked after sex, but Eisenberg said his findings show the opposite is true for “all races, ages, education levels, income groups and religions, every health status, whether they were married or single and whether or not they had kids.”

Marijuana is legal for medical or recreational adult use in 29 states and the District of Columbia, said spokesman Morgan Fox of the Marijuana Policy Project.

A record percentage of Americans – 64 percent – now believe adult use of the drug should be legal, according to a Gallup poll published this week.

Eisenberg cautioned the study should not be misinterpreted as having proven a causal link.

“It doesn’t say if you smoke more marijuana, you’ll have more sex,” he said.

Still, for many, research in the name of science may never be so fun.

Saudi Arabia Plans To Build $500bn High Tech Mega City 33 Times Bigger Than NY

Saudi Arabia has announced plans to build a new mega-city across its borders with Jordan and Egypt which will be entirely powered by renewable energy.

The city, which has been named NEOM, will be built from the ground up on a massive greenfield site in northwest Saudi Arabia. It will span over 26,500 square kilometers, an area more than 33 times bigger than New York City. The city already has its own Twitter account and website.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said the city will focus on industries including energy and water, biotechnology, food, advanced manufacturing and entertainment.

It will be backed by more than $500 billion by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) – the kingdom’s largest sovereign fund – and other local and international investors.

“NEOM is situated on one of the world’s most prominent economic arteries, through which nearly a tenth of the world’s trade flows,” PIF said in a press release.

“Its strategic location will also facilitate the zone’s rapid emergence as a global hub that connects Asia, Europe and Africa, enabling 70% of the world’s population to reach it in under eight hours.”

In a major departure for the oil rich nation, NEOM will be powered entirely using wind and solar energy. All services in the city will be fully automated with repetitive and arduous tasks being entirely handled by robots.

PIF say the city will likely have the highest GDP per capita in the world. It also said NEOM will have a mild temperature because of a constant breeze coming in off the sea.

“All of this will allow for a new way of life to emerge that takes into account the ambitions and outlooks of humankind paired with best future technologies and outstanding economic prospects,” the Crown Prince said.

The announcement came on the same day that the Crown Prince announced that Saudi Arabia, which is known for its ultra conservative rule, is moving to a more “moderate” form of Islam that is open to all religions.

Opposition Should Not Behave Like Rebel Groups- Zambian DNA

Zambian DNA has condemned proposals for opposition political parties to come up with an alliance that will oust President Edgar Lungu and the governing party from power.

MMD-Nevers Mumba faction  called on the opposition to come up with the formidable alliance that will bring down the PF’s rule.

But Zambian DNA Spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa said it is unfortunate that some political parties have put selfish agendas above national interest in their desire  to wrestle power from President Lungu.

“Some of the political parties have no clear-cut national development agenda but are merely power hungry. However, in our view, politics must be a conviction of selfless service to the nation and not for selfish gains ,” he said.

Mulemwa said political parties should focus their energies on providing checks and balances to the governing party.

He said the relevance of the opposition parties is   avidly depended on how they will conduct themselves from now to 2021.

“As government-in-waiting, opposition political parties should be relevant to people’s aspiration instead of behaving like rebel groups, fanning chaos and confusion. As a matter of fact, running a political party is not like running a social club or  ‘ka nteemba’ Mulemwa said.

He commended President Edgar Lungu for remaining focused despite his critics’ attempt to derail his development agenda.

MY SIDE OF THE STORY: I Caught Andrew Red Handed Bonking Another Girl- Says Tabitha

Dear admin,

This is my side of this story, share it with your massive readership:
“I thought I did not owe anyone an explanation but actually I do LOL because it would be very unfair for you guys u were part of our relationship….to just see my Facebook status from being engaged to single and not forgetting the circulating story of my very innocent and broken ex-fiance Andrew.

Now the reason why I broke up with Andrew is basically immaturity. We were long broken up and I was long done with the relationship before the recent incident and I am sure most of my close friends whom I told in confidence can agree with me.

His immaturity and desperation is just on another level…..Here is the story: He found an audio conversation between my old time ex-boyfriend and I saying he was coming to pick me up and we were going out! I am sure most of u have heard it by now. Without asking me anything or talking at all Andrew confronted my ex-boyfriend asking if he is having an affair with me then goes to tell my old ex’s fiance and actually brought her to my home to confront me.

Not only that Andrew goes on social media and starts telling everyone that I cheated on him he’s heart-broken sends almost everyone in his contact list the audio of my conversation.

Here’s my story:  I went out with an old ex yes which i actually felt guilty about because I even said so in some messages besides Andrew and I were on separation.

The main reason why Andrew is doing all he’s doing people is because am the one who ended our relationship I told him I don’t want him anymore and gave him back his ring not because of my old ex but because of his behavior and immaturity, the way he handles things is senseless.

If I can tell u that I caught him red handed in bed having sex with someone no one would believe this because I didn’t publicize it, I didn’t send messages to people.

All I did is I forgave him, was there for him, loved him supported him kept him  from January of this year till recently with no job and no money but did u hear me say anything on social media whenever he wronged me?

He is liar and very manipulative….All he does is be on whatsApp all day chatting and arguing about rubbish with people asking for airtime and money from people especially girls and arguing about being WhatsApp admin instead of getting a job or something.

As well as lying to people that he stripped me off his ring and he paid my lobola and wedding when he only reached with his uncle na k150 mumbale. And now he’s posting me muma groups  that am a whore.

Who is a whore between him and i? And can there be future sure with such a person? There and many more  dirty things about him that I can disclose can not disclose.”

Lusaka Wife Tired of Finger Love Making

A Lusaka based woman has dragged her husband to Chawama local court for failing to make love to her in a normal way and instead opting to use the finger. The woman complained that her husband only tantalized her by whetting her sexual appetite by only ending with finger sex.

Chibemba Chipulu 29  sued her husband Robert Mwiinga 34, of the same locality on allegation that he was denying her sex.

Facts before the court were that the couple married in 2006 and have 3 children together and dowry was partially paid. Chipulu narrated in a fully packed court that her husband denied her of conjugal rights since he had only been stimulating her with his finder for one year.

She said she had told her husband that the finger love making was not satisfying to her but to her amazement, he continued with the unsatisfactory act. Chipulu said she approached her grandparents and told them to talk to her husband but even after talking to him, her husband continued using his fingers.

She said her husband also refused her from shaving him and that she was certain he had a lover.

“I am tired of his finger lovemaking; I brought my husband here so that he could tell me why he continued using his fingers for love making. He should tell me if he is not interested in our marriage anymore,” she said.

In defense Mwinga denied the wife’s statement but admitted that he could not have sex with his wife on a daily basis because his work was tiring. He said he had always had sex with his wife and that was the reason they had 3 children.

Mr Mwinga said he was willing to reconcile with his wife since he loved her and the children they had together.

In passing judgment, magistrate Lewis Mumba granted the couple reconciliation and counseled them to live in harmony.

A Zambian woman was arrested last Wednesday for suspected infanticide after the death of a newborn baby girl who was found abandoned near a rubbish bin on a busy Hong Kong street, the South China Morning Post reports.

Police arrested the 22-year-old, who held a Zambian passport, at a guest house at 269 Hennessy Road in Wan Chai, about 130 metres from where the baby was found, her umbilical cord still attached.

“We will look into why she [abandoned the child], the reasons she came to Hong Kong, her purpose of staying here and her mental state during the act,” said Chief Inspector Lo Chi-kan of Wan Chai police district.

Lo said is seemed the woman came to Hong Kong last month, and gave birth to the girl at the guest house on Tuesday.

At 7.28am on Wednesday, a passer-by called police to report the baby near the bin outside the China Life Insurance building, at the junction of Hennessy Road and Tonnochy Road.

The naked infant was found by paramedics. She was unconscious, and it was unclear if she was still breathing. She was rushed by ambulance to nearby Ruttonjee Hospital, where staff were unable to resuscitate her. She was declared dead at 7.44am.

Officers from the Police Tactical Unit were sent to the scene to help with the investigation. They searched rubbish bins and a nearby alley for evidence. A sniffer dog was also used in the search.

Officers approached people working in neighbouring buildings and shops, to see if they could provide information.

Police said CCTV footage from nearby buildings led them to arrest the woman at the guest house at 4pm.

Lo said police were still looking for the girl’s father, who had not been identified.

Police said only a single case of abandonment of a child aged under two was reported between 2015 and August this year.

The Social Welfare Department said that between April 2014 and March this year, its Integrated Family Service Centres handled 72 cases of abandoned children below the age of 18.

Muvi TV’s Unprofessional Conduct Annoys MMD

Movement for Multiparty Democracy(MMD) National Secretary Elizabeth Chitika is unhappy with the unprofessional conduct exhibited by  Muvi TV on the assignment programme last night.

Chitika said it is unfortunate that Muvi TV invited MMD leader Nevers Mumba without informing him that he was going to be joined by MMD-Felix Mutati National Secretary Raphael Mangani Nakacinda.

Below is a letter Chitika has written to Muvi TV.

The Managing Director

MUVI TV Station

LUSAKA

Dear Sir,

*RE: Unprofessional Conduct by your Staff at your  TV station*

We write with a heavy heart to deeply register our disappointment on the manner your staff treated our Party President, Dr  Nevers Sekwila Mumba during the Assignment program yesterday 29 October 2017. The unprofessional conduct exhibited by your staff is unacceptable, sickening and reprehensible. It belongs to an era so long gone when peoples rights were little known.

You invited our Party President to feature on this program knowing very well that you had also invited the rebel and criminal in the name of Nakachinda without telling our President.  Nakachinda is not an equal to our Leader by any stretch of thought or status, yet your staff without  courtesy led a well planned ambush in the middle of the program by bringing in Nakachinda. We expected you to respect the strong views of our President when he said it was wrong for your staff to bring Nakachinda to appear on his program but as if his explanation was not enough, you unprofessionally decided to cut short Dr Mumba’s interview and accommodated Nakachinda. This has never happened before and we demand an explanation why your staff did this.

Our serious complaint emanates from the fact that you have on many occasions liberally hosted Nakachinda and group on the Assignment program, and you have never given or called us (the legal office bearers of our Party), the option to cut in their program like you did on this one, not that we would even sink that low. Your actions are below profesionalism and are unacceptable. We believe that in modern day journalism there is absolutely no need for this kind of behaviour.

We wonder what compelled your members of staff to act in such a desperate way to the extent of curtailing Dr Mumba’s program so as to accomodate their secret guest. Was it a case of the piper having no choice of the tune to play because money was paid? *_They say “he that pays the piper calls the tune”_*

We have looked at the code of ethics as set by the council and in particular clauses 5-7. We are of the view that your staff could be in violation somewhat of these.

*5. Journalists should regard as grave professional offence, the acceptance of bribes in any form in consideration of either dissemination or suppression of information.*

*6 – Journalists shall rectify promptly any harmful inaccuracies, ensure that correction and apologies receive due prominence and afford the right of reply to persons criticised when the issue is of sufficient importance.*

*7 – Journalists shall be aware of the danger of discrimination being furthered by the media, and shall do the utmost to avoid facilitating such discrimination based on among other things, race, sex, religious, political or other opinions of national or social*

We demand for a public apology from your Station. Dr Mumba is not only the legal President of our Party but former Vice President of this country and deserves due respect from your station. We have taken the liberty to copy our letter to the Zambia Media Council as well as Media Institute of Southern Africa.

Elizabeth Chitika

National Secretary

Chief Refuses To Name University ‘Ntumpa’ University

A chief in Kasama ‘refuses’ the naming of a University in Kasama as Ntumpa.

Controversy seems not to resist the yet to be built University in Kasama, Northern Province which is now being called Ntumpa University.

The debate continues raging from the choice of locality, to turning a secondary school which is under construction into a university to a matter of priority between having a university and completing Kasama General Hospital.

This time around, the controversy is on the seemingly embraced name of Ntumpa University.

A local traditional leader, Chief Nkole Mfumu has strongly rejected the name Ntumpa, arguing that it is not an appropriate name.

Chief Nkole Mfumu said this when a team of traditional counselors that produce Radio Mano’s, ‘Ukufunda Mwana Kufikapo’ programme called on him at his palace on Thursday.

The traditional leader, whose chiefdom will house the university, has since proposed Nkole Mfumu as the new name.

Pangolin Poachers Arrested

THE Department of National Parks and Wildlife supported by the Wildlife Crime Prevention has arrested two people for suspected smuggling of Pangolin into Lusaka for profit making.
The development came in following an operation conducted by the department on October 3, this year.
Wildlife Crime Prevention Awareness Manager Luwi Nguluka said on 6th October 2017, the 12kg pangolin was transported to Kafue National Park where it was released by DNPW officers.
Nguluka said research showed that the pangolin is the most trafficked wild animal in the world accounting for as much as 20 percent of all illegal wildlife trade while Zambia is home to a significant but threatened pangolin population.
“People travel from all over the world to catch a glimpse of these reclusive animals. Pangolins are trafficked primarily for their scales erroneously believed to have medicinal qualities. However, these scales are made from keratin which is the same protein that forms human hair and fingernails and contains no medicinal value,” Nguluka said.
And Nguluka said under the Zambia Wildlife Act No. 14 of 2015, the penalty for the illegal possession of a pangolin is 5 to 10 years imprisonment.

On the black market, a kilogram of pangolin costs about K30, 000.

ZRST-Appeals To Government To Accelerate Support For Road Victims

30th October 2017
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lusaka, Monday, 30th October 2017: The Zambia Road Safety Trust (ZRST) is calling on government to accelerate the plans to support innocent victims of road traffic accidents. Since, 2013 the government has been talking about implementing a scheme that would promote compensation, financial and medical requirements. However, since then thousands of road victims have been injured or killed and bereaved families are left without any form of compensation.
ZRST is also calling upon the private sector including all concerned stakeholders to support government efforts, and meet the challenge of taking care of injured road victims or bereaved families. ZRST is concerned that the current motor vehicle insurance scheme is totally inadequate, does not address the post-crash needs that arose from road accidents , it’s too little, too late and difficult to access.

Chairman for the Zambia Road Safety Trust Daniel Mwamba said:

“Anyone can be an accident road victim and, therefore, we need to care, feel and feed them. We need a fairer justice system, with more transparent investigations and thorough post-mortems. We want compensation, improved support and recognition for road victims together with timely accurate information provided for those affected by road deaths and injuries, and without any prejudice.

“In perhaps the majority of cases motorists cause death by breaking the law, yet relatives are expected to accept the occurrence as ‘an accident’, and not to expect a proper investigation or a serious prosecution of the driver responsible for the death. If they protest they are dismissed as vindictive and accused of being vengeful. Not only are they faced with the horrendous fact of a loved one’s violent death, but with an attitude to those deaths which borders on the obscene and which cannot possibly be acceptable by any human being. This leaves the bereaved shocked and bewildered; it also causes deep emotional wounds.”

On Tuesday, 24th October, 2017, a drunk driver driving through garden road lost control and killed three innocent pedestrians who were walking as normal on the road side. Those who lost their lives were a 14-year old Miss Elita Harriet Lungu; a 19-year old Miss Veronica Mwale; and the unnamed grandmother aged 58 years caught up on her way to sell chikanda. According to official records, on average about 20 pedestrians are killed weekly; these deaths cause immense suffering and often drag the bereaved families into poverty, more especially as they are left without any form of compensation or support from government.

Zambia Needs Agriculture Champions – ZAMBEEF

$

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Zambeef has commended the agriculture sector’s and government’s increasing commitment to the diversification of the Zambian economy away from over dependence on mining and focus on agriculture as the engine to drive the economy going forward and has called for agriculture champions to market surplus food into the SADC/COMESA regions.

“This is indeed an exciting time for the agriculture sector in Zambia as we witness the awakening of a sector and industry that has the potential to not only to bring about incredible economic and social change. We must stop talking about this potential and physically seize the God-given opportunity to become the real bread basket we keep talking about. We are already a mini-bread basket, in many respects all we need to do is nurture and grow what we already have,” said Zambeef joint chief executive officer Francis Grogan.

He urged farmers to take note and build on the opportunity that the growing population in the region presented as indicated by recent UN studies that stated that demand for food is expected to triple from US$8 billion in 2017 to US$25 billion in 2032.

“These figures are certainly very sobering for sure but I personally find them very exciting. They are indeed huge challenges but also huge opportunities for us as a nation to produce and process food to feed all these people right on our doorstep. I firmly believe that Zambian farmers, whether small, medium or large scale are very willing and able to take up this opportunity and I experience this first hand everyday as joint CEO of Zambeef Products,” said Mr Grogan.

His sentiments were echoed by Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) president Mr Jervis Zimba who noted that “Agriculture is the surest way of delivering inclusive growth,” and highlighted some of the aspects that would assist in enhancing good farming practices among farmers.
The two were speaking at the opening of the 112th Zambia National Farmers Union Congress officiated by His Excellency, President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

The President commended the congress for providing a platform for the networking of agricultural stakeholders to explore solutions aimed at expediting the actualization of the National Economic Diversification Programme.

“Government remains focused on making farming the mainstay of our economy for enhanced household food security, poverty reduction and increased income generation for the people,” said His Excellency.

He furthermore reiterated government’s commitment to address challenges in the sector so as to avoid slowing down the momentum of the diversification agenda.

Mr Grogan went on to urge fellow farmers and would-be farmers in Zambia to take agriculture seriously and give it the commitment and investment it deserved if it is to become an agriculture hub that it hopes to be.
“Actually agriculture in Zambia is not a sleeping giant at all! The giant is awake and flexing its muscles and starting to take small but very determined steps in the right direction,” emphasized Mr Grogan.

He however, also counselled that agriculture is not for the short-term stating that;
“Investment in agriculture is a long-term investment and it requires vision; passion; persistence; enormous patience; commitment; huge investment and huge amounts of hard work.”

He drew on Zambeef’s own journey which started with 60 employees, one retail outlet and what at the time most people would have considered no future.

“From our very humble beginnings in 1994, we’re now one of the region’s leading agribusinesses with 7, 000 full time employees and hundreds of thousands of cattle, pigs, maize and soya suppliers the length and breadth of Zambia. I personally believe that farming never gets out of fashion and as Zambeef, we insist on supplying millions of consumers with beef, chicken, pork dairy, stockfeed and day old chicks in all the major urban centres throughout Zambia therefore creating active linkages for players in the agricultural sector,” Mr Grogan articulated.

By building these forward and backward linkages, Zambeef has been able to secure consistent supply of cattle, pigs, maize and soya, facilitate value addition and market these products all over Zambia and into the region itself.
Zambeef as a key industry player is 100 per cent committed to supporting Zambian farmers in its vision of becoming the largest and the most affordable protein provider in the region and we commit to continue working with all our stakeholders to achieve this.

Mr Grogan further urged open and frank discussions with stakeholders in the sector about the kind of agriculture policies and instruments that are needed to attract the required investment which would accelerate the transformation which is already underway in the Zambia.

“We need targeted and tailored investment, what may have worked in the past may not be appropriate in the more complex market place of the day. We must all show leadership and vision and provide a reliable, functioning policy and environment to attract the large private sector investment we require into agriculture,” urged Mr Grogan.

Mr Grogan also highlighted the importance of grooming the next generation of Zambian farmers noting that it was never too early to start.
“We must also attract and harness the entrepreneurial spirit of our young farmers; we must give them hope, we must give them vision, we must show them the opportunities so that they can all take advantage,” said Mr Grogan.

He also touched on the need to improve efficiencies in order for the sector to take advantage of the existing resources and to be increasingly competitive.

“Policies should provide access to markets, access to credit, access to research and innovation, water harvesting, management, agricultural extension, dangers of climate change, smart farming and also reducing food loss and waste. We need to improve our efficiencies; we need to get our yields up and that requires investment,” said Mr Grogan.

Mr Grogan urged all to roll up their sleeves, embrace the agri-revolution and called on the ZNFU and stakeholders and to deliberately come together and plan a roadmap for the sector in a coordinated manner for the benefit of all.
“No farmer, no food, no future,” concluded Mr Grogan.

At the close of the conference, Zambeef presented a bull to President Edgar Chagwa Lungu as a gift.

Omega Fire Ministries Founder Suleman Warns Zambia After Arrest Of His Pastor

Apostle John Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries has warned the Zambian government against ‘messing up’ his pastors.
Pandemonium broke out on Tuesday as police reinforced immigration to force a Nigeria pastor of Omega Fire Ministries in Lusaka, Austine Obosele from his house in Ibex Hill where he had holed up with his family to avoid deportation.
The pastor’s pregnant wife, an assistant pastor of the same church was arrested for fighting policemen who were forcefully removing her husband from the house.
Speaking earlier through one of the widows to his house, Pastor Ebosele (pictured below) accused the ministry of national guidance and religious affairs of being corrupt for deporting men of God seen to have vast investments in the country.
He said the only reason government wants to deport him is because unnamed officials from the ministry of religious affairs are jealous and want to take over the wealth he has amassed in the country.
It was later revealed by some sources at Immigration Department that the Nigerian is said to have extended his stay in the country when his permit expired.
Earlier, the police tried to break down the main door to the house where pastor Obosele and his family had locked themselves in with a big hammer, when immigration officers went to pick the pastor for deportation.
The armed police officers also threatened to throw teargas in the house if the family did not voluntarily open the door, with congregants begging the officers not to take such action as there were children in the house.
After several attempts by police to break down the thick door, the pastor’s wife opened the door and thumped on one of the female immigration officers.
“What do you want from us, we told you to leave us alone, we have done nothing wrong but you keep on following us,” she shouted.
When the pastor came to the rescue of the wife, who by then was pinned down by police officers, with congregants also trying to help out, one of the officers fired a teargas canister.
The congregation scattered in different directions, while a few brave ones, those choked with teargas tried to retrieve the children who were still in the house.
The pastor’s wife was immediately dropped at the nearby Kalikiliki Police Station, while the husband was proceeded to the immigration Head Office with congregation trailing them.
And in a video footage released by Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Suleman (in dark suit in the picture below) sounded a serious warning to the Zambian leadership.
He alleged that Zambians have a way of allowing foreigners to start big investments in the country, allow them to grow the investment and later deport them so that Zambians take over the investments. He claimed that this is what happened to his pastor who is has since been deported.
He further claimed that Nigerians were the biggest investors in Zambia.
He warned that when small little known countries like Zambia continue doing such to foreign investors, no investment will come into the country.
He added that his church here has grown so much that it is attracting attention and now the state wants to fight it.
“If you fight my pastor, you are fighting me,” he said. “And if you fight me, wait for the results, there will be problems. There will be reactions.”
He went on: “Its not the best thing to do. When you do this, you send signals around the world. I am saying this because I know they are watching me. There are people you touch and things will just spoil.”

Referees are missing former Football Association Of Zambia (FAZ) supremo Kalusha Bwalya after going 29 Weeks without being paid their officiating fees.

FAZ took the responsibility of paying officiating fees to referees last season in the same season Mansa referees finished the season without receiving their officiating fees. Mufulia referees who officiate in division one have now gone 29weeks without a pay.

The Andrew Kamanga administration has not acted on the plight of the referees despite being pushed to do so.

The question is can someone who has not been paid the all season officiate the games fairly?and how can he or she refrain from match fixing?
We have Kansanshi Dynamos and Kitwe United who are fighting to be in the Premier League next season if they use money do u think these unpaid referees can resist the temptation?

Zambian DNA Spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa says it is clear that United Party for National Development(UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema is not willing to reconcile with President Edgar Lungu, following his recent public utterances.

Mulemwa said in a statement that contrary to assertions that he is committed to the dialogue process, Hichilema’s  recent utterances at Chatham House and British Broadcasting Corporation(BBC) confirms otherwise.

“He( Hichilema) claims there is no law that compels him to recognise President Lungu has a  duly elected Republican President. But he insists that revisiting the 2016 elections petition is  a precondition of dialogue.

However, Zambian DNA is of the view that if there is no law that compels him to recognize President Lungu as a duly elected Republican President, then equally, there is no law that compels President Lungu to dialogue with Hichilema,” Mulemwa said in the same vein, the  Commonwealth Secretariat has no mandate to preside over dialogue between President Lungu and Hichilema.

“However, President Lungu accepted the well-intended Commonwealth mediated dialogue as a statesman to heal and unite the country,” Mulemwa said.

Mumbi Phiri Disputes JCC Ruling On UPND Petition

In a dramatic turn of events, Patriotic Front(PF) Deputy Secretary  General Mumbi Phiri has disputed the Judicial Complaint Commission (JCC) findings that United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema and his deputy  Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba’ s Presidential Petition was wrongly thrown out because the case was within the  14 days time frame.

The JCC ruled that the Constitutional Court only sat for 10 days.

But Mumbi  says people are dumping Hichilema to join the PF, because of he lied the case was the courts on British Broadcasting Corporation(BBC) Hard Talk programme.

Receiving 80 defectors from the UPND, Mumbi said it is sad that Hichilema, an educated person, and a qualified economist lied on Hard talk programme that the presidential petition is still active.

She said even herself, an ordinary marketeer, knows that the UPND petition was thrown out on technicality after the 14 days elapsed.

She said what Hichilema could have told the world was that his petition was thrown out, but he is making moves to take it back to court.

” We welcome you to PF. Most of you have left the UPND because Hakainde lied on BBC. He lied when he said that the petition is still active in the courts of law. How can an educated man and a qualified economist fail to understand that the petition was thrown out on technicality. Even myself  who is just a marketeer, knows that the petition was thrown out after the 14- day period elapsed,” Mumbi said.
