Almost half of the Presidential Speech as attribute the decline in Economic Growth & it’s Challenges to CLIMATE CHANGE. When Government has accumulated over US$16 billion external debt. Out of this over 55% going on roads alone with little going towards investment and Climate Change Mitigation like renewable energy and irrigation.

Did climate change force Government to borrow money? Is high levels of corruption caused by climate change? Is lawlessness by Cadres caused by climate change? Is 48 houses part of climate change? Is luck of Medicine caused by climate change? Is high levels of unemployment caused by climate change? Is the failed mealing plant project caused by climate change?

We know Climate Change is a big problem in the all world. We know it & we don’t want to be reminded. All we need is solutions that’s the Primary reason we voted you in power. Climate change is not the cause for Zambia’s Economic problems. If anything climate change as only contributed less than 10%. The speech never gave solutions to problems facing Zambia, all I heard is cries of Climate change throughout half of the speech.

We vote for leaders to solve and find Solution to our Problems not having leaders conderming the problem, so that people believe they are suffering because of the problem and not that leaders have failed to find solution to their problems. This level of mediocrity is unacceptable and will destroy this country.

What a disaster we have put ourselves in as a country by Missing up an opportunity to lay a Road map on how we will move as a nation amidst challenges.The speech was nothing but shallow Policy Statement from the President.

Zambian soil can feed the whole of Africa but our problem is just one ‘LEADERSHIP’ Not CLIMATE CHANGE.

An illegal miner has died at Luanshya Copper Mines 14 shaft curved area after rocks fell on him just 3 days after Luanshya District Commissioner withdrew police from the area saying the illegal miners were not at risk. Sources at Luanshya Central police have disclosed that Joseph Simfukwe, aged 25 of house number 269 Mikomfwa died on Monday 9 September 2019 and has since been buried. Police sources disclosed that the mine had raised concerns about the safety of illegal miners and requested for additional police presence in the area. And police in Luanshya have blamed the District Commissioner for the death of the illegal miner. The Police sources claim that the DC is the one who removed the police from the site where illegal miners were conducting their activities saying that the boys were Patriotic Front members. The senior police officer who was responsible for deploying officers to that area has since been transferred. Meanwhile the DC is trying frantically to ensure that the story does not get to the media. “What happened is that Luanshya Copper Mines wrote to us at Central Police requesting for extra man power because we provide security to the Mines at a fee, we went to see the area in question but we were shocked to see the District Commissioner Patrick Maipambe in our entourage. ” Police sources further claim that Mr Maipambe told the Mine management that there were not enough policemen to be given to the mine especially that the area in question was not a priority area. Following the withdrawal of police presence from the area, there was a sudden increase of illegal miners with some mounting PF chitenge material as flags signifying the take over of the territory. A STUDENT of Clinical Medicine and her police reserve lover have appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court charged with libel.

19-year-old Luyando Kopakopa of Long Ridge Chilanga and Eric Ng’andu, 38 of Libala South denied issuing libelous statements against Legana Investments Limited when they appeared before Chief resident magistrate Lameck Mwale yesterday.

It is alleged that the couple between August 3 ,2019 and August 8,2019 whilst acting together with intent to defame Legana Investment Limited unlawfully published defamatory matter against Legana Investment Limited when they said that the company was using human flesh to make sausages and that the meat product is packed in condoms.

Kopakopa had created and circulated a video on social media in which said that legana was using human flesh and condoms to make their Hungarian sausage.

her lover, Eric Ng’andu filed a complaint against Legana to the lusaka city council. The council through the Department of Public Health instituted investigations in the matter.

LCC public relations manager George Sichimba said the investigations revealed that there was no evidence of foreign matter identified in the suspected Legana Hungarian sausage.

Legana investment limited is owned by FDD leader Edith Nawakwi.

The matter comes up on October 8, 2019.

Police in Kasama have apprehended about Forty-Two people in connection with the riots and looting that erupted at Kasama’s Chambeshi market on Thursday and Friday.

Northern Province Police Commissioner, Richard Mweene has confirmed the development to Mano News in a telephone interview today.

Commissioner Mweene states that calm has returned to the market as police have continued keeping vigil.

The Police Chief has since disclosed that property worth over One Million, Six Hundred Thousand Kwacha has been damaged and looted.

Commissioner Mweene said the family of the businessman is safe adding that no one has been injured.

Meanwhile, two Police officers were injured as they fought running battles with rioters.

Provincial Police Commissioner, Richard Mweene reveals that one suffered a fractured leg while the other one has suffered a deep cut on the head but are both out of danger.

Yesterday, Police in Kasama fought running battles with Location residents who had been rioting and looting a shop belonging to a businessman who they accused of practicing witchcraft.

A POLIGAMOUS man of Gwembe has advised Christians not to restrict men to marrying only one wife to prevent them from having side chicks, a situation he says increases the spread of HIV and AIDS and other sexually-transmitted diseases. Lawrence Mweene, 55, of Caani village, is married to three women, all of whom are older than him.

He told the Sunday Mail that it is more Christian to bring side chicks home as wives as opposed to men pretending to be faithful when they are not. Mr Mweene has 22 children with his wives. “We will not stop the spread of HIV if we continue pretending to be faithful men when we have other women [outside marriage].

The best we can do is advise our young men to bring those women home for as long they are able to fend for them,” he said. Mr Mweene said despite being a firm Christian, he does not think having more than one wife is a sin. “I actually think Tonga men are better Christians because if I like another woman, despite being married, I will simply talk to my wife and bring her home, too, so that they know each other. “It reduces the spread of diseases and also enhances productivity in the families.

Like for me, all my three wives are able to do some work, so once they all bring their produce, we have plenty as a family,” he said. Mr Mweene said a man who marries more wives, especially in a rural set-up, is able to achieve more than one who is not polygamous. “I do not regret being in a polygamous marriage because I am able to satisfy all my wives.

I have a time-table and so I have shifts. I spend maybe five days at one house then move to the next. It’s a wonderful world,” he said. And his second wife, Loveness, said women should not get angry when their men decide to bring another spouse because polygamy is not as bad as people perceive it. “In fact, I would have loved for my husband to bring a fourth wife so that he pairs us up but he is old now, so it’s okay. We will continue living as sisters and loving our husband,” she said.

Kenyan media personality, Kamene Goro has revealed that her public disclosure of sleeping with 27 men in her adult life has cost her a lot.

26-year-old Kamene who struck a pose on the cover of True Love Magazine, addressed the backlash that trailed her 2018 confession in which she also revealed she regrets her body count.

The media personality said she was a bit drunk while discussing the contentious topic with her colleague Andrew Kibe. According to her, she lost deals from corporate organizations because the confession affected her reputation.

“It was one of the worst periods of my life. Not that I regret what I said, but the backlash was huge. A lot of corporates dropped me and even my employer at the time (NRG radio) put me on an ice block. It was treble just for sharing a honest fact” Kamene told True Love September’s edition.

Also lashing out at the patriachal side of the African society, Kamene stated that she wouldn’t have gone through all she faced if she was man.

“Every condom company would have run to him for endorsements. As a woman they expect you to lie when it comes to sexual partners. The guy I was dating at the time told me that I should have reduced the number to three or four,” she lamented.

A special envoy made up of three officials have been dispatched by President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa to some seven African countries after he was booed at former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s funeral in Harare on Saturday September 14.

The special envoy made up of former minister Jeff Radebe, Ambassador Kingsley Mmabolo and Khulu Mbatha, a veteran leader of the ruling African National Congress will be visiting Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia to deliver a message of solidarity and also brief each country’s government on steps South Africa is taking to end the xenophobic attacks.

“The special envoys will brief governments in the identified African countries about the steps that the South African government is taking to bring a stop to the attacks and to hold the perpetrators to account,” the statement from South Africa’s presidency read.

Recall that the South African President was booed as he addressed mourners at Robert Mugabe’s state funeral service at the National Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare. He apologised on behalf of South Africans but was told by angry Zimbabweans that an apology is not enough. Zimbabweans told him that they want his government to arrest those behind the attack and ensure the protection of their foreign nationals.

The one year that Mary Changwe has been in her marriage has been agonising as her husband inspects her to see if she slept with men while he was at work. The level of distrust from her husband has made her sue him for divorce before the Kalulushi local court.

Changwe said her husband, Hazer Mwape, is a jealous man who does not allow her to greet any man in their neighbourhood. She complained that her husband always inspects her womanhood because he suspects her of having extra marital affairs.

“My husband inserts his hands into my womanhood to check if I slept with a man and this behaviour makes me feel bad because it shows that he does not trust me,” Changwe narrated. She also told the court that she once found her husband sleeping with an older woman but that she has never given her any explanations.

She testified that Mwape is an irresponsible man who does not care whether she has eaten or not. She complained that her husband once accused her of being in a sexual relationship with her uncle because he used to buy relish for her. Changwe also accused her husband of being abusive by beating her even over small misunderstandings.

She pleaded with the court to grant them divorce before he kills her. But Mwape accused his wife of drinking too much beer, a situation he said forces him to beat her up.

He also asked the court to grant them divorce because Changwe does not perform any house chores such as cleaning the house and washing for him. Kalulushi senior local court magistrate Fredrick Ndhlovu granted the couple a free divorce after the court proved that they both contributed to the breakdown of their marriage.

WHILE she was six months pregnant and could not afford to have sex with her husband, the husband instead woke up at 04:00 every day to have sex in the toilet with his girlfriend. Barbara Ngosa, 32, told the Kabushi Local Court that she would only find used condoms outside the toilet when she woke up in the morning. She told the court that in her state, she could not afford to have sex with her husband, Jonathan Mwanza, 33, who demanded it on a daily basis. Mwanza, 33, has sued Ngosa for divorce due to matrimonial disputes.

Ngosa also told the court that her husband had been telling his girlfriend that she was a maid and not his wife. She also charged that her husband has since chased her from the matrimonial bedroom forcing her to sleep in the children’s bedroom. She pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage so that they can keep the three children together.

In his testimony, Mwanza said he wanted the court to dissolve the marriage because his wife was impregnated by a police officer, she was keeping secrets and engaged in money-lending activities. Mwanza said problems in their marriage started immediately they got married in 2010. “One day, she got an Automated Teller Machine bank card and went to withdraw money at 22: 00 hours and disappeared from home for two days.

“She came back with K800 which she said that we should share,” he said. Mwanza also said that he discovered that his wife was HIVpositive on his own when he found hospital papers on the table. Kabushi local court senior magistrate Mildred Namwizye and Evelyn Nalwizye could not grant the divorce to the couple, but urged them to wait until the wife gives birth and conduct DNA test to determine the paternity of the child.

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema yesterday donated 50 by 25 kilogram bags of mealie meal to residents of Lusaka’s Bauleni Compound.

The aged, the differently abled, widows, and orphans were some of the beneficiaries of the afternoon donation.

Overjoyed receipients of the donation spoken to said “God had answered their prayers.”

Twenty-five bags of mealie meal were initially
meant to be donated but they finished within minutes forcing the wealthy opposition leader to add another consignment of 25 bag – they too did not last.

“The price of our staple food, mealie meal is way beyond the reach of our citizens,” Hichilema later wrote on his Facebook page.

Mealie meal prices like those of other essential commodities have been rising and climbing beyond the reach of many ordinary Zambians in the past weeks.

A CONGOLESE e v a n g e l i s t who sexually assaulted and p r o p o s e d marriage to his 15-year-old daughter because it is allowed in their tradition, has been jailed for 16 years with hard labour. This is in a matter Kachinga Kabamba, 40, was charged with indecent assault. On November 14 last year around 23:00 hours, Kabamba called his daughter from her bedroom so that she could escort him to see a pastor near their home. He then kissed and touched her private parts.

The lower court heard that Kabamba forced his daughter to have sex with him because she reminded him of her mother he had divorced. He told her that since the mother was having an affair with another man back home in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), he needed a woman to be sleeping with.

But Kabamba denied sexually assaulting his daughter saying he only inserted fingers in his daughter’s private parts because he wanted to know if she was still a virgin. And the victim narrated how her father had sex with her against the order of nature. The girl told the court that her father said it was normal in the DRC for a father to marry his own daughter. She confided in her teacher, who later reported the matter to police. And the victim’s teacher told the court how the child bitterly wept as she explained what her father was doing to her at home.

In defence, Kabamba said in the DRC, it is not strange to kiss one’s daughter or touch her. When the matter came up before the Ndola High Court for sentencing, Kabamba’s lawyer asked the court for leniency because his client’s actions were strange before God and people.

However, Judge Yvone Chembe sentenced Kabamba to 16 years imprisonment with hard labour. “He took advantage of his own daughter to become his wife because she had separated from her mother. I find that aggravating, shameful, evil and sinful.
